Signs continue to be encouraging for some relief (hopefully not temporary) from the record high rates and record low LTL performance of late. The path ahead still is murky, but should be much more calm vs. the recent 6-7 months.

Expect any TL contract rates to start rising and maintain their traditional level above the spot market. LTL carriers (who don't adjust as quickly as the TL spot market) may be looking for increases above traditional averages as they play catch-up.
